Hermann Schlimme

Dear Francesca and Hermann's Family,

I am deeply saddened and shocked by the death of Hermann. I met him for the first time in Rome in 2009, when he was working at the Max Plank Institute and organized the highly original and innovative meeting “Nella Dimora del Cardinale, del Principe e del Mecenate: Le parole del cantiere”.

Since then, I had the occasion to share many thoughts with him, always full of creativity, knowledge, and lively energy. He was an outstanding scholar, a brilliant mind, a reference for all of us as a Researcher and Colleague and first of all as a beautiful Soul and a wonderful Person.

I am very, very sad and I wish to express to you my most sincere condolences.
